I have changed the Headlight and main beam bulbs for higher intensity ones, but havn't done the sidelight ones yet.

Which type of bulbs do i need to replace the standard sidelights?

This is on a 2002 Gal facelift model

Thanks

PowerBulbs offer a free set of side light Philips bulbs when you buy the high performance silverstar or vision plus main bulbs.

I fitted their free side light bulbs. They produce a white light with a very slight blue hue (not that awful tuning aftermarket blue though). And they look quite nice in the housing even when they are off during the daytime.

Check their website through Google and they will state the bulb name and wattage etc.

Best wishes.

PS. Would seriously suggest you read other's threads on how problematic changing the sidelights can be through that small sliding hatch in the wheelarch before you go for it.

I think what you mean is ....

you need the type with no metal base, just the glass with 2 wires that emerge from the base of the glass and get trapped in the bulb holder - similar style to most Christmas tree lights ...... now that gives me an idea .......

Is this what you after,,,,found on Ebay Item number: 8011324543
:o <_<

and now, how about a sensible price?

Go to your local Delphi distributor and they're about 50p or less. :D

Check out my Osram Silverstar review before you start paying silly money for bulbs.

Much tosh spoken about "brighter" bulbs.

It is a 501 5W capless bulb.

Can recommend the Phillips vision blue 501 5w. they give of a brighter white light as apposed to the creamy white colour of the std side light bulbs.

I got mine free with and order of phillips vision blue H4 bulbs for Powerbulbs.com but that offer seems to have finished.
