burundi Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 Hi Folks. I've had a trusted and competent mechanic look at the Sharan as it is pulling to the left quite a bit and the braking feels as if the discs are warped. There is some play in both front wheels and he has recommended changing the following parts due to wear and broken or damaged rubber covers: track rod end near side + off side off side ball joint near side + off side track rod He says these parts are safe enough to drive with at the moment but it is unlikely to pass its next MOT (in about 6 months) in the state they are in. Am I looking at a fortune here for dealer pricing or can these be sourced from other suppliers at a reasonable cost? All advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.B. Quote
tim-spam Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 Try Eurocarparts (0208 956 5000) or German Swedish and French (0208 917 3888) both of which are based in London. They do a very efficient mail order service and sell quality parts at considerable savings over main dealer prices. Quote
burundi Posted October 28, 2005 Author Report Posted October 28, 2005 Thanks, I will give them a try :D Quote
Justice Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 Once you have your prices post them up as I know they can be beaten. :D Quote
burundi Posted October 28, 2005 Author Report Posted October 28, 2005 EuroParts were pricey GSF were better - I rang their local branch who quoted me the same as their web prices. Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 Once you have your prices post them up as I know they can be beaten. :D The amount of parts you buy you must be up for discount now for buying in bulk :D and from what I read not all of them are worn, broken or need replaceing till you get hold of them :D Quote
