2 Problems, Electric Window & Central Locking

Hi there,

New to this site, so would be most grateful for any help possible, have 2 problems:-

1- My front drivers side electric window does not work, it was ok then as time went on it was tempermental by only working sometimes, but now it does not work atall, checked the fuses & wiring behind the switch which seems ok, phoned ford & quoted

Others may be able to provide better help but have a look under the front passenger seat in the cubby hole, this box controls both the central locking and windows and is prone to problems when it gets wet, which it does when the rear wash / wipe tube which runs down the sill comes apart.

Dry the box / connections out and see how it goes.

also check for broken wires between door and pillar they tend to break over time,do a search been coverd many times

:o go with last answer, mine did exactly the same and turned out to be frayed cables between door post and door
