mike99 Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 I hate the rear wiper operation on my galaxy! You want one quick wipe so you push it back, which then puts it into intermittent mode. So you push again to cancel and it squirts water on the window!! Quote
bigdaddy Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 You should consider yourself lucky that it squirts water on rear window,,,,,,,it usually dumps water in the storage area under the front passenger seat  Quote
mike99 Posted October 24, 2005 Author Report Posted October 24, 2005 I have heard about this so I guess I'm lucky in a way. Quote
Guest Simon S Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Yup - I hat the rear wiper as well  Quote
Guest E11esar Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 I find the rear jet supply rather pityful. I'd prefer it if the water was deposited from above the glass and not ferom below. The coverage is a bit (a lot) pathetic really. Quote

Guest MATT Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 it would be a lot better if the water was sprayed from the top - down, not from the bottom - up  something my corsa has :D just replaced the wiper blade, now its better, but more importantly, silent! im on a bit of a noise reducing crusade lol I've noticed that the front passenger door is the only thing that squeaks on rough ground (on tarmac, there's no squeaks!) and i think its the speaker grill, so, bit of epoxy maybe? this galaxy will be in TOP Notch condition when I've finished. skippy 2 Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 open up hatch, top right you will find a black plastic corrugated tube, inside is a host of wires, ill bet a few are broken. What is it with all these broken wire issues? Is it that the wiring is being stretched or is it so thin that it gets brittle and snaps. It seems to be a major problem does it affect all models? It's just that if something fails is it going to be the wiring as Ime not shure how I would check the polarity of the wires I hope that was correct. Or to make sure power was reaching where it should be going. Quote
daysy Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 I'm so glad that I am not the only one who dislikes the operation of the rear wiper... I generally only want to wipe the rear windscreen once... but no ... I have to spray the screen and then fail to wipe the spray off ... Quote
hotleaduk Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 They must have used cheap wires as mine had three wires broken off. Rear wiper, top brake light and read tailgate unlock solenoid.I went to Halfords and bought the correct size wires and dismantled the plastic trim, pulled back the rubber covering and soldered the wires by trimming the old wires and then adding new wires thru the rubber covering and then soldering both ends. The read wiper fuse was also blown. It all works now. Quote
