Before I take the wheels off...

Under light braking - an annoying squeal.

Is this a generic Galaxy thing, or did the mechanics forget to put the shims (are there anti-squeal shims?) back in when they changed the pads/discs when I bought the car?

Any other ideas? :(

Cheers.

I thought the pads were self-adhesive; in which case grease is exactly what you don't need!

Maybe the adhesive has become detached or the pads are now fairly worn, either way you'll need to thoroughly clean the calipers in meths and replace the pads (no copaslip except on the back of the rotors if you replace them).

...Justice, you did remove the backing paper before fitting the pads didn't you...

I was not aware that they did self sticking pads all these new fangled idea's

Bring back the starter crank handle and the set of points I say.

I just remembered when I did my pads on my Chrysler Voyager they had sticky pads on it,so yes I do know

My vw pads did'nt have them though hence why I used copperslip.
