1310 Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 i have a 1997 gal 2.0 gxl and the air con is not getting cold.there are no funny noises coming into play when i put the air con on,it seems to stay at the same temp as the normal heating and ventilationmy problem is someone told me about a regassing kit you can buy from halfords are they easy to use could it likely this is the problem as i dont want to buy kit,at 40 quid to find is wasnt that what else could it be kind regards 1310 Quote

There is a potential problem if your system has depressurised completely, you may have air and moisture in the system. If you simply add gas you will destroy it completely.My advice is to look in yellow pages for a Massey Ferguson dealer, they have more experience than most garages with automotive aircon (many tractors have had it fitted for years).
