greg_68 Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Hi all, has anyone got advice on where to purchase plugs and leads from. I think GSF are Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Get a decent plug lead tool! the GSF leads are fine I run on them :D and my ignition system has to be good for the LPG system :( take your time when doing them or even better let some else do it :D I do saves all the heart ache and back ache :( Quote
dipsomaniac Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 I'll second VR6s comments regarding getting a good plug lead removal tool. I wouldn't attempt the job without one as it is a pig of a job to access the back plugs. I made the mistake of buying a tool from VW. It cost Quote
greg_68 Posted October 10, 2005 Author Report Posted October 10, 2005 Cheers, where do you get a decent removal tool from? Quote

johnb80 Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Delboyt, I'm being serious here, you made fantastic claims about the magnificant plug/lead combination that you used that converted your 2 litre gas guzzler into a more frugal vehicle than a TDi, this surely is something that all petrol heads should know about. If the situation has changed then maybe you should inform everyone so that we all know what the best situation is. As far as me replying to posts, I don't recall you being appointed moderator, if you are then you should know better than the crude P.M.'s you have sent to me. If you've made an error in your calculations then say so, destroy the myth you created, there's no shame in that. Regards - John Quote
Masked Marauder Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Give these guys a ring first for your leads requirements. They do everything from brake discs to wishbones. I'm not affiliated with them in any way Express AutopartsTel: 01536 516060Fax: 01536 411500http://www.expressparts.co.uk They are the people who also do K1 Racing Leads, which are the plug leads I would recommend. http://www.k1racing.uk.com Quote

johnb80 Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Do any of you guys fancy having a shalaxy meet? Pick a pub, nice lunch etc etc. We did it with the Scorpio users and took the opportunity to have some experts present, there was an aircon guy busy recharging etc, a tuning expert advising all the Cosworth owners etc. It was a brilliant day. What do you think? (maybe the wrong thread here but never mind). Regards - JB Quote
