Guest colin469 Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 I was interested to read the replies on this particular problem. I assume Nikki6780 has possibly replaced the heater control valve by now. I did this job yesterday and found it reasonably straight forward , if not a little bit fiddly in places. :P I managed to get enough access by pulling the bulkhead extension to one side and used a variable jaw pliers to slip the hose clips back off the inlet stubs. The valve had completely seized up, which I understand is a common problem with both the Ford Ka and ford Fiesta models. I'm happy to say replacing the heater control valve cured my problem. :P colin469
Guest rickoty Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 I did this a while ago but I'm not sure if I went a bit overboard on removing the surrounding plastic bits  Did you have to remove/move much? I don't have the smallest of hands but without shifting a fair amount of it I was loosing more skin from my hands than I was happy with! It is easy enough though. For anyone considering it but worried it may be hard or awkward (as I was) I'd say go for it.
