Can anybody help me. I have a W 2000 2.3 Gear X Auto.

The problem i have is that when i put my foot down to over take she goes like a rocket but when i go to pull away from the next junction she wont change up a gear until the revs counter hits about 4-5000 revs.

When i turn the engine off and on again its fine????

First port of call, I would check the levels in the gearbox but it is more likley that the ECM (electronic control module located by the battery) which is called Fuzzy logic and that tells the gearbox you are in sport mode but it seems as if it is not changing back for normal driving conditions.

Hope this helps.

When did they give ECU's names? and it's hello to Fuzzy Logic and his mate the abs sensor Nigel

The name given to the way the gearbox reacts to the way you drive it is called Fuzzy logic  .

And no the sensor is not called Nigel , it's Brian
