Hi ya,

Got a V reg 2.3 Galaxy and I want to disable the front passenger airbag.

I have spoken to Ford who say it cant be done.....hmm.

Anyone done this? Surely I can just unplug it? This will probably bring a warning light on but I can live with that so long as the drivers one works still.

Do I have to change the seat belt aswell as some manufacturers have a special seat belt that lets go a little so you go in to the airbag (called a force limiter)

In line.

It is likely that if you disconnect the passenger airbag, all the airbag and pretensioner systems will be disabled by the control computer in addition to the warning lamp being illuminated permanently.

I'm sure that this is not what you want!

Bit of bugger that....I wanted to put a rear facing baby seat or a forward facing child seat in the front.
