Guest Deviant Posted July 21, 2003 Report Posted July 21, 2003 Hi ya, Got a V reg 2.3 Galaxy and I want to disable the front passenger airbag. I have spoken to Ford who say it cant be done.....hmm. Anyone done this? Surely I can just unplug it? This will probably bring a warning light on but I can live with that so long as the drivers one works still. Do I have to change the seat belt aswell as some manufacturers have a special seat belt that lets go a little so you go in to the airbag (called a force limiter) Cheers, Dev Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 In line.It is likely that if you disconnect the passenger airbag, all the airbag and pretensioner systems will be disabled by the control computer in addition to the warning lamp being illuminated permanently.I'm sure that this is not what you want! Guest Deviant Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Bit of bugger that....I wanted to put a rear facing baby seat or a forward facing child seat in the front. Cheers, Dev Quote
