Brake Fluid Resevoir,

Hi all,

need to undo the top on my my brake fluid resevoir but cant find ( get to it ) it,

Its the 2.8 v6 and isnt covered in the haynes manual, and am guessing its to the left and rear of engine bay but i just have a plastic box with a few pipes coming off it ,

any ideas?

Remove the scuttle tray, unclip the top of the air filter, unplug the MAF and maybe a few other hoses and plugs on the hose going to the throttle body, lift the top of the air box off and lift to one side, now look down the back of the engine, drivers side above where your feet sit! you see it yet? ;)

You also need "Pot-Holing" skills to reach it......... ;)

to top up my one i joined a bit of hosepipe to a funel.

this stoped any spills as the cap is half under the top body panel.

or a syringe, which is also good if you have to get any fluid out !

jeeeeez,

Ive managed to spot the yellow screw top by peering through the pipes and other bits and pieces under the scuttle panel and with some luck , I squeezed my rather fat hand in and managed to unscrew the cap,

why did they make it so awkward to reach ?
