Guest scatha Posted July 21, 2003 Report Posted July 21, 2003 I have a 1998 2.3 ghia X (petrol). About a month ago it started to lose power when the engine was warm. This would sometimes happen when accelerating, but sometimes it happens randomly. For example: after driving at a steady 60 for half an hour and then wanting to speed up to 70. The engine loses all power for 5 - 30 seconds and then kicks in again with a lurch. The garage has already replaced the MAF sensor and driven it around a lot, and that's done nothing. The spark plugs have been checked, but nothing there. Any ideas? Quote
Guest STEVEH Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 HAD SAME PROBLEM WITH MY P REG 2.0L. CLEANED UP THE CONNECTIONS ON THE LAMBERTH SENSOR.HAS NOT MISSED A BEAT !!! Quote
Guest scatha Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Thanks, I'll try that and see if it works. (Now, when I say "I'll try that" I really mean...the garage will try that - which is where it is at the moment and I'm worried I'll never see my beloved Galaxy again...) Quote
Guest scatha Posted July 25, 2003 Report Posted July 25, 2003 Well, the Lamberth sensor thing didn't work. Thanks for the suggestion though. Quote
