Guest vr6galaxy Posted September 16, 2005 Report Posted September 16, 2005 You can do either? add a new alarm or just add a remote locking kit! hit the search button, there has been quite a few posts on the topic Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted September 17, 2005 Report Posted September 17, 2005 I needed and all is now remote. didnt you get the remotes with the kit? or are you after remote keys to work with the non OE remote locking kit you have fitted? ps change the the vehicle name its Sharan not Sharon :D she's a nice girl and if pushed could take on 6 and their luggage but her MPG isnt that good  Quote
Justice Posted September 17, 2005 Report Posted September 17, 2005 I like Sharon she lets me have a go in her when ever I want :D . Re cap - I had an alarm with full closure etc but only worked with key in door.I then brought a remote upgrade from Vagparts.com but the remote fob is not nice looking and hangs off a bit of rubber from the keyring,my question on another forum was "Can I use a remote key to operate instead of the fob" Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted September 17, 2005 Report Posted September 17, 2005 no! :D due the frequency/channel of the OE remotes compared to the kit you have fitted, as you have the OE alarm and remote recievers fitted you could alway get that system to work? elsewhere on the forum is a link to a company that sells a system like the one you have purchased but they have remotes that clip onto the standard key and look like an OE fitment Quote
Justice Posted September 17, 2005 Report Posted September 17, 2005 Being new to the site I would'nt know where to start looking but will try to find it, Thanks for the info :D Quote
