Guest deep blue Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 Hello one & all, Deep blue here, I have JUST joined this forum & am in the process of buying a '96 (N) 2ltr Galaxy in deep blue, hence the name. It has 89K on it's little dial 'thingy', and I am paying Quote
gregers Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 hi and welcome sounds just like the one i had seems a good price any more info on her? regards gregers Quote
Guest deep blue Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 Hi gregers, Thanks for the reply & the welcome. Sorry, but no more info at present. It is a family that bought it 6 months ago & they really don't want to sell it so they are keeping the other car & selling the 'Gal'. I would be interested to know what the b.h.p. for this car is (2.0. ltr petrol) for town use mainly although I will conduct my own tests to see if it comes up to scratch. Thanks again for your reply, D.B ;) . Quote

Guest deep blue Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 Hi vr6, Thanks for that, always good to know how much you have to play with. Not a speed freak you understand, but nice to have a bit spare to get you clear of junctions in traffic. Once again, thank you. D.B. ;) Quote
delboyt Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 hi deep bluewelcome to the site m8 check for the usual leaks & that the aircon is fully workinglook under the passengers seat from the rear & see if there has been any water there as you got a control unit under there & it sometimes get's flooded.it will cost about Quote
Guest deep blue Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Hi delboyt, Thanks for the info. 21-26m.p.g? Oh my aching wallet. My current Rover 416sli has a control box of some sort under the same seat, never had cause to look at it as yet. Yes, it is a 7 seater, ideal for my in-laws, dad, sister who are all a little tricky on their feet so it will be easier for them all to enter & exit. My sister-in-law has a rav 4 & it is surprisingly easy for them to get in & out of. I'll check out your suggestions, as I said, I haven't got my hands on her yet so will need to ask if I can have another look around. Thanks again m8. D.B. Quote
seatkid Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005  I thought dellboyt's did 40mpg.....oops......forget I said that! :( Quote

johnb80 Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 piss off seatkid get a life That's a bit strong delboyt, you *did* claim 40+ mpg and deisel beating consumption around town. I note now you have ammended your post, do you accept you had miscalculated? if so then I think really it's you that owes a few apologies. Furthermore you also stated all jokersi tried to put up a proper thread for proper replies butit look's like most of you can only take the piss all the timeif you cannot reply with a proper reply then save all our time & goto another site & play there.if you got nothing decent to say then say nothing So perhaps you should take your own advise and not say anything to seatkid. How is the current mpg anyway just out of interest? Regards - JB Quote
