Thanks chromedome, thats one thing off my mind now for getting this PHONE thing sorted, ther is one thing I hand't mentioned and thats the radio hase some cd's in it would this cause the "phone" to appear after entering the code ??

IIRC PHONE means too many incorrect attempts at entering the code were made and the radio is now blocked . You now need to phone the manufacturer for advice.

I thought the PHONE message appeared when the mute input was active eg from a phone kit. Have you by any chance got a phone kit fitted? if so is it working ciorrectly ? You should double check the phone mute input on the back of the radio.

Your joking aren't you?

Why cant ford use common sense, and make it display "BLOCKED" or "LOCKED"

how the hell is "PHONE" supposed to relate to the radio being blocked?

common sense would make you think that it thinks there an incoming call or something?

The phone mute contact will be in the black socket to the left on your picture. It could be that the wire in the plug for the phone mute is touching ground somewhere which activates the phone mute. Try the radio without that plug connected and see what happens.
