Guest vr6galaxy Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 Unless you get hold of a crash damged TDI and swap the bits over to your shell then the cost of such a conversion would be to much! possible to do with right pats/donor vehicle but costly and very time consuming  for a start you would need all the running gear, suspension, loom, both engine and car, dash, ecu's, fuel tank, pumps, filters, aux heater .........................forget and buy another car its cheaper easier, more reliable! and the constant worry of did you tighten up hat last bolt correctly? Quote
HalfPint Posted September 8, 2005 Author Report Posted September 8, 2005 THANKS FOR THE REPLY I KNOW YOU ARE RIGHT BUT YOU KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKEThe body works fine it's just the heart needs a bloody good jump start and i thought by getting the other bits and pieces transplant the heart, floor it and watch your eye balls bleed.but it looks like i'm having to go down the expensive road. Guest vr6galaxy Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 Just get hold of another 2.0 and get it breathed on, a bit of balanceing and blue printing cant do any harm, remove the injection system and bolt on a set of twin 45's and off you go :D OR JUST BUY A LEAF BLOWER   Quote
Masked Marauder Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 Look the guy wants to UPGRADE to a TDi. As said though chap, everything needs changed, engine, gearbox, dashboard, wiring, fuel system, ecu, throttle pedal, exhaust..... Quote
HalfPint Posted September 9, 2005 Author Report Posted September 9, 2005 thanks for the idea of the leaf blower. I've watched the trailer from cpracing and i'm just going outside now to try it as i have a petrol leaf blower in the garage and then i just need somewhere to attach it so i can start it from inside the car  when i need a bit of extra speed.
