davewill Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 OK, its Saturday night, just about to go out in the old Gal, when i noticed the infamous engine management light had come on, and yep, no brake lights :) Rang up the local Fraud dealer first thing monday morning, and got it to them for 11.00am Rang back at 5pm, to be told "we can't find a fault with it, the brake lights work OK"Bemused i checked, and indeed the brake ligts did come on.Left the garage, and got no more than two miles down the road when the warning light came back on, and of course no brake lights again.Rang up again, and said my bit to the service manager, who said OK bring it back first thing in the morning. The problem was that i had to have the car back by 10.30 that morning, as i had a pre arranged appointment.Dropped it off at the dealers (10 miles fom my home, and no brakelights :) ), saw the service manager, established the brake lights did not work, and explained i had to have it by 10.30 (and feared the worst :( 10.20am got a call to say it was ready, and as i walked into the service dept, wa met by the manager, who handed me the keys, and said have a good dayNo cost at all (it is still just under warranty), no paperwork, but working brake lights :) So the old dealer came good (for a change) Quote
