chromedome Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 My cruise control seems to be working ok. The only way I can appear to disable it temporarily is by operating the brake pedal, is there another way? If I switch it off at the stalk I have to reset the cruise speed again. Other cars I have driven can switch the cruise on and off whilst maintaining the settings. Quote
buford_t_justice Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 You can also (1) Depress the clutch, or (2) Sound the horn!! Personally I just move the switch on the stalk just a little bit to the right. Not so much that it clicks over to the OFF position but enough to cancel the cruise and the switch naturally returns to the ON position. When your ready to cruise again at your last setting, just press the rocker switch up (can't remember what the letter on it is) The system on these cars is not the best. Quote
HJT Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 I just tap the clutch pedal lightly. You don't need to operate the clutch at all, just a small tap, pressing the pedal down about half an inch does it. I never use the on off switch on the stalk. Howard Quote
chromedome Posted August 31, 2005 Author Report Posted August 31, 2005 Hijacker. Just tried your method, works a treat, thanks a lot. Doesn't tell you how in the manual. Quote
