Ive got the kit,

it consists of a "hand gun" a canister of gas, and a pipe with a special connector on the end.

testing before adding gas, (temps were taken using the same thermometer)

Vent temperature = 55F that's 12.7 C

low side port pressure was only just in the blue zone (about 25 psi),

outside temp = 80F that's 26C

Added gas so it was 3/4 into the blue zone, i think that's about 40 psi,

Vent temperature = 40F, that's about 5C

outside temp = 80F that's 26C

So looks good,

I have also done my wife's AC on her Vauxhall tigra,

it was in the blue zone, so i only put what was left in, so it was just over the middle of the blue section. tried the aircon, not much difference to report, only slightly cooler, but then i didn't put much in. how ever, the fans were blowing my thermometer out of the vent, couldn't believe it!

The temperature gauge has a 5 inch long metal spike out the back of it, this is pushed into the vent, and is left for five minutes for it to accurately measure the temperature.

i will monitor the pressure in the system once a month, and top up as needed, beats paying

MM - Its Great!

and i can use it on other cars, so its a real bargain, as long it is low gas that is the problem, and there is some simple tests you can do to check it, on the manufactures website.

Well chuffed, should be nice and cool for when i tour over to Spain next year.
