Air Con.....yes Another One

I had the air con re-gassed today...worked great for a short while.

 

Now when I first turn the air con on its nice and cool for the first few minutes....then no matter how cold I put it (i keep it on 18) it just stays warm...anyone got any ideas before I have a moan tomorrow?! :lol: ;)

Had all the gas gone? Maybe you have a leak that needed fixing first??

But when I turn the engine off...then start her up again the air con blows cold for a bit then goes warm

 

I'd have though if it was a leak it wouldn't work at all not just when its first turned on??

I am getting similar symptoms at the moment and I cannot find anything wrong. I wondered if I have overcharged the system. Oddly enough I am still getting the puddle of water under the back from the rear unit, but the air in the car does not seem cool after a while.

Do a search on 'heat soak'. Would say that you have a leak and that needs to be found/fixed before you put more gas in it. Chances are that you have minimal gas left to it starts, then gets heat soaked.

I just found (another) leak on mine, front pipe, clip rubber worn causing pin hole in pipe.
