Power Loss May Not Be Maf?

Hi all

My alhambra 2001 tdi 115 auto has been sluggish for ages. Looking on the forum i tried disconnecting the maf plug and found the power / revs went far worse!!! any ideas?

I did notice the computer display possibly dimmed when unplugged but not sure. I know some of the display always seems a little darker. Also tiptronic is a bit jerky. Recent fault code check and all clear.

Any ideas?
