Guest ajaycad Posted August 14, 2005 Report Posted August 14, 2005 Most answers to the oil type questions seem to refer to the 115 bhp PDi engine, but what is the consensus on the correct type/grade/manufacturer of oil for the 110 bhp TDi pre facelift. Any good and bad choices etc.... Quote

A wide range of oils are available that meet this spec :) I would recommend Quantum Synta Gold full synthetic available at VW/Seat Dealers.Quantum Synta Semi-synthetic (silver can) is also very good and cheaper. We did a full study on this at my work, there was no increase in wear or increase in MPG. Our trial period was over a period of 100K miles. Quote
