marinabrid Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 hello all, on models with manual heater, on our blower switch the little air recirc light comes on briefly when you push it, the flaps change and it reciculates but why wont the light stay on ? Quote
johnb80 Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 Probably a faulty bulb holder / connection inside the switch? Regards - John Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 Can you hear the fans speed up or the flap move when the switch is operated? the recirc part of the switch is a vacuum switch, mine failed a while back :( it's easy to replace though :( with the heater control knobs removed and the trim plate and light ring out the way the switch unclips and comes out through the front of the panel, with the engine running you should hear a hissing from the pipes? with the switch out you could always link the pipes together and see if the recirc flap operates? deadpool2e Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 vr6 do you know if the same is with a climate control unit as my one reports (on VAG) that recirc flap is stuck??? Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 The recirc flap is vacuum operated on the CC version, but not haveing one I have no idea of how its switched? there are some pictures of a CC heater unit on the forum and it shows the vacuum servo Quote
