davidcorbin Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 B) My 2001 Galaxy has only done a meer 260,800 miles I am still not sure if it is run in yet :) My old Sharan (P) reg I sold three years ago had 500,000 miles on it and still going strong, engine very quite as well.I average 10,000 miles every month, its just work has been a litle quite lately so my milage has slowed down. PopDorset Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 This is amazing...I picked up my car from Loders, Dorchester yesterday and service reception told me that they just did a service on another Sharan that had done...wait for it...288,000 miles!!! I thought he was kidding, but he showed me the papers. That's just about the same distance as from the earth to the moon. Pop (hope mine keeps going that long) Quote
katman Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 Last July I sold a Peugeot 309GLD with 281,000 on the clock and the guy who bought it just did an oil change then went in for the Staples to Naples rally. Got there and back no problem at all. Quote
HullHornet#30 Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Wow i thought ours was high with 158k just proves they built to last. Quote

KP 115 Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 having owned 3 audis previously that went to the 200k mark without even a new clutch cable -good build quality I tend to agree Quote
Goofygolfer Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 yes the 100,000 stigma no longer applies to modern cars, I think its resonable to expect a minimum 200,000 these days subject to regular maintainance. Quote
