Guest MATT Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 i appreciate your concern, and i accept that if conditions are beyond a simple refill then i will have to go to the squealers, BUT the system does lose gas over time, so a simple top-up, to the correct level, with the correct gas, with oil in it, should be OK. after all, the squealers would probably overcharge it anyway. MATT I concur, if the system performance is poor and there is still pressure in there then a DIY top-up may be an option. The kit from Halfords has a charge of oil and a leak-stopper that can help stop and prevent minor leaks. If the system pressure is non-existent then your not going to fix it by using any DIY products. Quote

Guest BIGLOX Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 Having spent a small fortune on ebay buying a top up kit, I was browsing thru various local car dealer websites and came across this from the local Edinburgh Kia dealer who is only about 10 minutes drive from here. Longstone kia - Air conditioning. My DIY attempt really wasn't very successful and I think I would have settled for Quote
