Lap Belt Replacement

I've seen mention of people replacing the middle lap belt with a "proper" lap & diagonal belt e.g. from Securon.

Has anyone got any more info on this, or other solutions?

 

I have three kids all who need seats - I have found Britax do a couple of seats that fit on lap belts, so thats another option, but thats only up to four years old.

 

What have other people done who have more than 2.2 kids and a pre-2001 Galaxy?

Try useing the search engine, you should be able to find a post on this subject with pictures of an after market three point install

another idea is to install a pukka four point racing harness :D if you do all the seats and only use them when the wifes drives then she may get the hint? :o

IIRC it is the later part of 2001 as my early 2001 does not have three point seat belt in the middle. I have seen other Y or 51 regs with three point system.

 

BTW vr6galaxy could you really put a racing harness on the middle seat????

Cant see why not? no different to the after market three point kits available!schroth do a three point harness with retractor that fits along side the standard three point seat belt, it has the retractor fitted behind the seat and uses the OE side mounts for the lap straps, the shoulder straps go over the back of the seat and join together to go to the retractor
