Hi Guys

Just another quickie for ya

We've only had our galaxy for about a month - when we collected the vehicle and first started it a warning flashed up saying "Check Brake Pads" - We asked the dealer what it meant and he said that it was a warning to say brake pads are low but they had changed them in the service they did - And it was a warning to remind you not to brake heavily for the first 500 miles.

After that it hasn't come up again and we have done nearly 750 miles in her.

The message has just started to come up again - I've done a quick visual check of the pads front and back and they seem to have a fair amount of life left.

Any ideas what this could be - I've contacted the dealer and am waiting for a reply.

Cheers

Your dealer is talking cr@p. the light should not come on after the pads are done. He either hasn't done them or the pads are faulty somehow.

The sensors are a closed loop, when the loop wears through the circut is broken and the warning comes on. So you most likely have either a broken wire (most likely at the pad) or a bad connection between the loom and the sensor.
