Ivor_E_Tower Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 Temperature gauge has become fan speed indicator. Could be an earthing fault. Quote
Guest Picard Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 Hi, sounds like a faulty wire on the temp thermister, its in an awkward spot on the right hand side of the head about 6 - 8 inches down, swine to get at. This happened to me i got intermittent readings, but mainly nothing and then sudenley it would shoot to normal and back again. Hope this helps Quote
MrT Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 I had this years and years ago on another car and the problem was the water (coolant) level had dropped and the sensor was out of the water, when the water level rose or moved in a different path with the heater on it reached the sensor and got a reading. Have you checked your levels and for an air lock in the cooling? Quote
