marinabrid Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 2nd questionafter reading the threads on air con it seems a good idea to leave it on most of the time, does this not overwork any of the bearings or motors or anything else causing early failure. also if the car is turned of after a run with aircon still switched on does that matter ? or shuold it be switched off.just wondered if affected anything when the starter was engagedthanks Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 One reason to switch off the AC a little while before you switch off the fans and the engine is to allow the moisture collected on the condenser to be removed this helps to stop the growth of mould and bacteria in the unit! which can lead to a bad odour in the car! when the AC is used  Quote
