vin297 Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 Hi, Im new to this site and any information would be greatly appreciated. i own a 2004 galaxy ghia and have got installed the facorty multimedia system (2 rear screens and dvd player). the problem i have is that the dvd player is not mult region and as a result does not play most of my dvd's. Does anyone know how or who can turn it into a multiregion player any responses greatly appreciated Quote
Lyle Waters Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 You will probably get a better response than me on this but jus incase: I generally use http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers to search for the model numbers, and upgrades, multi region fixes etc. Good place to start... Quote
Davetheref Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 This has been covered a few times before and the general consensus is that you cannot make it multi region.I have the factory fitted Visteon as well and have searched the web extensively for the answer to this but I think the player is just too basic to be able to change. Guest Crewdy Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Mine can. Is just one model of DVD player installed?. I have a factory fitted DVD and for a recent trip to France I recorded a shed load on Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine etc from Nickleodeon for my 2 year old onto DVD-R using a Panasonic DVD recorder and no problems, plays a treat all 8 hours of it. Davetheref Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 I have tried using DVD +r and they all seem to come out in black and white. Don't know about the DVD -r though. Quote

katman Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 I have tried using DVD +r and they all seem to come out in black and white. Don't know about the DVD -r though. If they are in Black and White then you probalby had a setting wrong in your software and they have been created as NTSC rather than PAL. Regards Keith Quote
