This has been covered a few times before and the general consensus is that you cannot make it multi region.

I have the factory fitted Visteon as well and have searched the web extensively for the answer to this but I think the player is just too basic to be able to change.

Mine can. Is just one model of DVD player installed?. I have a factory fitted DVD and for a recent trip to France I recorded a shed load on Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine etc from Nickleodeon for my 2 year old onto DVD-R using a Panasonic DVD recorder and no problems, plays a treat all 8 hours of it.

Just my 2 peneth,

My mates 05 tdi played dvd-r (I think) and dvd-rw whilst on holiday.

Kids absolutely loved it and don't understand why daddies car cannot have one just the same.

Would not play region 1 discs though.

I have tried using DVD +r and they all seem to come out in black and white. Don't know about the DVD -r  though.

If they are in Black and White then you probalby had a setting wrong in your software and they have been created as NTSC rather than PAL.

Regards

Keith
