just had my galaxy 2 days now and ive noticed that when you start it up and rev it from idle there is a rumble from the engine area.if i the press the clutch down and rev it there is no noise..ive phoned my local garage today to see if it could be a noisy clutch release bearing and was told that its the flywheel thats causing the problem(he called it a mass..something or other???)..and its a common problem and quoted me over

Dual mass density flywheel? sound right? yes the 2.3 has one and yes it can fail the two sections seperate and can do a bit of damage in the process!

...It's probably true, if you leave it the flywheel bolts may well shear in quick succession.

Happened to a Suzuki Vitara I fixed, exactly the same symptoms and by the time I got the car three bolts had snapped and I removed the other three with my fingers!

I shudder to think of the damage if it had completely let go.
