A few questions please.

I have looked at previous posts on the subject of upgrading my MK1 tdi to add cruise control and the trip computer.

I have checked with Fords and seen that there is a stalk available that is for cruise and trip functions and cost's about

It is very easy to do that. The stalk can be seen and buyed from here

The instrument panel must be all change, but t is also very easy to do.

 

To activate all you will need vag-com (ross-tech). Make a surch o find software. You also need the cable.

I e-mailed UCables and said that I could not get my laptop to reconise the lead and they replied within 10 minutes with a driver attached which done the trick, how is that for service.

 

Thanks for the info joczeze, I expect I will get the stalk from fords, the one on ebay would end up costing about the same I expect.

 

The instrument panel would be the biggest cost.
