I sometimes have problems with the electric windows after wet weather. I was told to look at the control unit located under the passenger seat to check if has become damp but it is not under there. I have looked under both front seats but there is nothing there. Please can someone advise as to the location, cheers

In 98/99 the central locking ECU was moved up under the dash and incorporated into the CJB panel, what are the problems with the windows?

If I press the window 'up' switch it will get nearly to the top and go down by itself. If I retry a few times eventually it stays where its supposed to. This is only after wet weather so I will take a look under the dash to see if damp is getting in.

Thanks for the reply

Either the window guides are tight? or the mech/cables need lubeing? and the window mech is senseing a blockage and tripping into anti trapping mode or the damp is getting into the plug in the loom in between the A post and the door? my passenger door does the same every so often after a real good down pour! but it operates ok in the dry so I always forget to take a look at it

Thanks, I will take a look ( it bombed down with rain last night ) . It is only the drivers side doing it at the mo, so it is likely to be what you said

...It's probably your undertray, check that it is watertight
