Hi All

I noticed this morning that my drivers side wiper wasn't wiping to the usual spot (ie the dirt was still there!) - and after remembering the fun and games various members have had with this I investigated. I found the spindle was quite hot and was flexing where it bolts to the body. I also noted a lsight electrical burning smell.

So I thought I may as well strip it out. I did and managed to remove the spindle which was dry as dust - so I greased it well put it back and did the nearside one for luck, all within an hour and a half.

All is now well and my wipers travel to the fullest extent as before.

Once again bearing in mind MM's comments on another thread - Thank you guys for sharing this info - after reading about it on this forum I identiefied the problem straight away and have probably saved myself a new mechanisim and motor.

Cheers

Gary :D
