Again The Auto Gearbox On Tdis

Hi all,

 

I've been following the discussions around problems with the Galaxy TDI (year 2001 -2nd generation) AG5 gearbox junping to neutral while on 4th or 5th gear, because my Galaxy has the same problem.

 

Ford's solution over here, is a new one (full service for UKP 5000 or EUR 7500) which I find abusive for a car with less than 30000 miles (47000 km) although the car has passed the guarantee period (one year).

 

Given the number of reports that I've followed both here and other forums (related to the Alhambra and Sharan) does anyone knows how to have Ford take the responsability for this repair ? Or who should get the responsability (and pay)for a common malfunction.
