Brake light switch! sounds like it's on the way out! Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted July 10, 2005 Report Posted July 10, 2005 If the switch goes faulty and jams "on", the ECU thinks that you are braking and disables the electronic throttle function - hence the engine would not rev over 1000 rpm. Does sound like brake switch problem. Quote
Guest thecodfly Posted July 11, 2005 Report Posted July 11, 2005 thanks for the info will phone frauds and get new oneis there anything special i need to know about fittingg switch? Quote
paulmpaciorek Posted July 11, 2005 Report Posted July 11, 2005 Pretty straight forward job, although a bit awkward...and remember to get you tetanus jabs up to date as there are sharp bits under there and they bite !!!!!Put brake light switch in you search and all will be revealed.p.s When you get your switch ...dont be tempted to click it up and down as these are easily broken !!!
