Anyone else suffer from a naff digital clock i.e all the digits are corrupt. Does anyone know how to fix it, or is replacement the only option (

You could try stripping it down and realigning/cleaning the contact strip along the edge of the LCD display? I did this on my old clock and got the majority of the display working again!

 

the last one went on ebay at a good price!

Yes, there is a bulb, twist and pull to remove. New ones are widely available, I got mine from Halfords for about a quid.
