Missfire Under Load?

hi

 

i have a mondeo 2.5 v6 si 1998, i have noticed that the car seems to missfire under load, i.e at lower revs when you put your foot down (hence the post about spark plugs!). This is even worse when you have the air con on, making it undriveable

 

any ideas?

plugs and/or leads

O2 sensor and EGR are other possibilities but plugs and leads first.

did the plugs and leads today but has made no difference. any ideas?
