norwichbluenose Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 Having never been flashed by a speed camera. I think I have been flashed twice in one day, but in different countries. Once in France and once in England, the one in England one I am not to sure about As it seem a long way back when the camera flashed and another car pulled up sharp.Any advice would be grateful Quote
Guest MATT Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 if you weren't speeding, then you have nothing to worry about, if the camera was in the distance, i doubt it was you it was flashing at. don't worry about it, no point stressing. MATT Quote
norwichbluenose Posted July 5, 2005 Author Report Posted July 5, 2005 the english one was behind me and I was speeding between 5/10 mph my fault tries after a long journey their was a car behind me.can I ask for a copy of the photo the camera took (the most annoying thing about all of this is I knew the camera was there, even told myself to slowly pull away at the lights but forgot) Quote

suzuki91 Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 you have two weeks to wait then you are in the clear.the police will at their discretion send the photo if it comes to it. some dont want to help, need the money? or the job points! Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 you have two weeks to wait then you are in the clear.the police will at their discretion send the photo if it comes to it. some dont want to help, need the money? or the job points! In most case you will only get to see the photo if you go to court! the days of them sending out photos when requested is long gone as they realised that it costs money to do it and they could have issued the ticket to the wrong person/car <_< as they did to my mother! not that we rushed to inform them of this fact till after the 14 days were up and they couldnt send the NIP out to the correct driver :D norwichbluenose As it seem a long way back when the camera flashed if you were well outside the markings on the road or well past the sensor strips then it's very unlikely that you got caught :) what colour was the flash? Guest rcmadd Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 if you were only doin 5 over then dont worry if it was 10 over you have a 2 week wait vr6 i like the pic at the bottom however i would put i'll find that Quote
_dg Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 Although most forces will resist sending you copies of the photos unless you plead not guilty on the NIP (notice of intended prosecution) first, you will need the photos to consider if you are guilty or not! If necessary you should insist/persist in obtaining the photo evidence before pleading. The Police are required to provide them, but some just try to avoid doing so Ask for a copy of BOTH of the photographs that were taken of you. You should also ask for the time interval between each picture - typically 0.5 of a second apart. So you can then work out if the claim is valid. Check out Association of British Drivers info and Pepipoo Quote
Ivor Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 You can check if you got caught here Just in case the camera misinterpreted your plate you can click on "view image" of the photo too - cool. Quote
