It looks like a door mirror cover - FINNIS code 7181071. Can anyone please identify it and advise on the part/model/year? Thanks Quote

paulmpaciorek Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 Right then.Just had 2 totally pointless phone calls to Ford and VW..(who employs these mother funky morons ???) All I wanted was part numbers for a MAF and Engine Coolant Temp Sensor...........Temp sensor part number 251919501d price Quote
Masked Marauder Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 251 919 501 D temperature sender for coolant temperature gauge for vehicles with electronically regulated air condit. Quote
paulmpaciorek Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 ....muppets !!!! obviously not the right part.......I told the mug it wasnt the one on the radiator....... Quote
Masked Marauder Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 What sender are you looking for, the one for the fueling or the one for the guage although they may be the same one. The part number for the one above points to one for the gauge and is mouinted in a hose on the front of the engine. Did you want the one for the radiator fan switch? Quote
paulmpaciorek Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 MM I have a fault code Engine Coolant Temp Sensor (G62) open or short to plus P1256-35-10 Intermittent This causes the temp gauge to go up and down ...some days it will...others not !!!and when the car warms up it runs pants !!!I am thinking it is the one mounted in the hose (Mine is the PD engine) although I think it may be on the side of the engine close to the battery compartment area !! My humble appologies to the mother funky at VW if he supplied me with the correct part number. MM are you looking at ETKA or TIS for your info ?? Quote
Masked Marauder Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 ETOS, a more advanced version of ETKA Quote
paulmpaciorek Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 Can you post the picture of this sensor ???....my engine number is AUY 062485.CheersPaul. Quote
Masked Marauder Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 Will do as soon as I get home from work. But right now I am stuck in a car park with a puncture waiting for ATS to turn up, so I don't know when it will be. Quote
paulmpaciorek Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 MM.......have you found that pic for me ??? I have had a look on the TIS but the whereabouts is not that clear...Cheers in advance. Paul Quote
Steveenduro Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 This coolant temperature sender on the 115 TDi seems very elusive. I still can't find it and the diagram on the TIS does not seem to relate to the car!Mind you the Ford Handbook labels the Oil filler cap as the Washer refill and vice-versa. Took me ages to clear the sludge of the windscreen, and as for the engine.......... I think if anyone has a definitive guide as to its whereabouts and a brief description on changing it, it would be much appreciated! Masked Marauder Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 this is the sensor on the PD engine: http://www.bigtrucker.co.uk/gifs/pd_temp_sensor.gif Quote
