pompadour Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 MY GAL HAS DONE 1500 IN THE PAST WEEK DUE TO TRADIC DEATH OF MY OLDER BROTHER DUE TO SOME AGED MAN NOT STOPPING OR LOOKING.... FOR THOSE WHO HAVE THE NEVER.... HERE IS THE LOCAL PAPER REPORT / APPEAL FOR INFO.... http://www.bexhilltoday.co.uk/ViewArticle2...ticleID=1064603 I AM TAKING MY PARENTS TO THE SCEEN TODAY AND WANTED THE CAR SERVICED AND IN TIP TOP ORDER. THEY CALL ME TO SAY THE AIR CON IS SHOWING BACTERIAL ODOUR AND THIS WILL CAUSE A PROBLEM. THEY WANTED MY PERMISSION TO DECONTAMINATE IT. NO I SAID NO SMELLIES, DO NOT DO IT. Quote
seatkid Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 Sorry to hear about your tragic loss, sympathies.... Rear pads wear faster than fronts due to over enthusiastic self adjusting handbrake design. 5mm would be about 2/3rd worn. Garages tend to use the arguement that the pads might not last to the next service....mmmm You were conned with the "bacterial odour" problem...they evidently did it before they talked to you....wind your heater to max heat and fan and let it run a while with windows down, maybe that'll help All I can suggest is a diluted degreaser followed by upholstery cleaner to get rid of the oil stains. I know how frustrating it is when carpets have oily footprints, armrests and door cards have musty black shit rubbed into it. Thats why I refuse to use garages anymore..... Quote
HJT Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 Really sorry to read about your loss. It's hard to suddenly lose someone close through no fault of their own. All I can say is try not to play the "what if" scenarios in your head, it can tear you apart. Howard Quote
