Guest MATT Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 Can anyone tell me whether my cd player in my Gal can play a DVD disk with mp3's on it? i doubt that a cd player could play a dvd, simply because a cd and dvd are different formats. as for the mp3, i don't know, my set-up 4050rds with Sony cd changer, seems to play mp3s on a cd. peteread Posted June 29, 2005 Author Report Posted June 29, 2005 I've only got a 2007R with 2060 multi cd player, I was wandering if any knows if this unit will play mp3's on any disc type? Quote
Guest kd035050 Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 i have the same head unit and there is no way that you can play mp3 with that changer. i resorted to getting an FM modulator and playing the MP3's via my usb mp3 player over FM on channel 6 on the radio. There are two types of FM modulator on the market, the first needs to wired in line with the arial lead and give good quality sound however when switched on it will swamp all other radia channels. The second type is a wireless mini FM transmitor that will transmit a small FM signal that you can tune into, these units are very small and will ot disrupt any other radia channel, both these options will cost you less thaan Quote
sad_git Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 I have a fm modulator fitted inline for my dvd player and now wish I had got a wireless type. The problem is that the 2007 unit sends a voltage down the coax to an aerial amplifier. The wired modulator blocks this feed and impairs radio reception. Quote
Guest kd035050 Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 Does anyone know what adaptor is required to fit a new cd changer to my Gal it is a MK1 fitted with a 2007r and my changer has died, what are my options not including replacing the head unit. Cheers Chris  Quote
