Help! Electric Window Stuck Open

Opened my drivers window today and it has stuck in the fully open position. It has done this before, but has usually "fixed" itself after a short while. The motor clicks when you press the switch, so I assume there is power going to it.

 

Because it is fully down I can't get the glass out and therefore can't take the motor and mechanism out of the door

 

Any ideas?

unplug the loom in door gap pull back rubber and see if the wiring has broken

or hold door lock in the lock postion with the key and see if the window closes [globel closing ] and that will tell you if its the switch or not :D hope this is of some help :D
