Trip Meter Service ?

Hi all,

Put my phone on dashboard the other day and pressed the trip meter button when picking the phone up, Now instead of trip meter just saying miles , it is saying service miles and before starting the gal up it says oil, so i checked the oil and it is ok so any ideas how to reset it please?

It is saying you need your car serviced for a date/mileage-based service and an Oil Change. Are they due?

i have no idea lol , had the car just over 6 months, so it probably is due a service.

if you want to clear the service/oil message just start the car with the trip switch held in.

Service interval display

Instead of the tripmeter, the display will indicate service miles 2000 when the next service is due soon. The message will be displayed for about one minute whenever you switch on the ignition. The mileage displayed will decrease with driving until it reads service, indicating the service is due.

On vehicles fitted with a trip computer, the service interval (SERVICE in 2000 m/SERVICE NOW) will be indicated in the centre display.

The display will be reset by your Ford Dealer after performing the service. Normally, this procedure should only be carried out by a Ford Dealer. However, if you need to reset the display yourself, proceed as follows:
