1998 TDI ALHAMBRA , ABS LIGHT PERMANANTLY ON FROM SWITH ON TO SWITCH OFF, STATIONARY OR RUNNING NO CHANGE ALWAYS ON.

SOME THREADS HAVE MENTIONED SENSORS , COULD THE CONDITION I HAVE

POSSIBLY BE A BROKEN WIRE OR DUFF SENSOR , OR WOULD THIS NOT GIVE THE ABOVE FAULT.

I HAVE MY MOT COMMING UP SOON CAN I TEST FOR ANYTHING MYSELF IF SO COULD YOU DETAIL HOW , AS CAR ELECTRICS ARE NOT MY STRONG POINT.

THANKS IN ADVANCE DIESELALHAMBRA

I had the same fault on my Gal.

I traced it to a break in the wire from the NSF sensor.

Stripped the wires, soldered them back together and wrapped the repair in insulation tape - no more ABS light problems now.

I hope yours is as easy to fix..... hopefully not a knackered sender.

BTW, a VagCom would identify where the fault is.
