Warranty Direct Recommendations

I have recently purchased a 51plate Ford galaxy 2.3 privately and I was looking at getting a years warranty with warranty direct and wondered if anyone had experience of this company and recommendations of others.

The only problem I had with mine which is why I cancelled it, Is because ALL service work HAS to be carried out by a V.A.T. registered firm.

Now this is not a problem if you just pay to have your car serviced all the time, (at a dealers for example) but if like me you prefer to do the work yourself then the warranty is useless.

Don't save your money. In my experience they always use fair wear and tear. plus you can't service the car yourself

My wife's car has a Warrenty Direct insurance on it. They have been fair in a warrenty claim (plastic tension roller in a VW 1.4 16v engine collapsed) and they paid up despite the garage doing the repair without asking WD first which would have invalidated the claim. They were miles better than the RAC 'platinum' cover i had on my Gal where they insisted on not paying more than
