Guest greenfly Posted June 13, 2005 Report Posted June 13, 2005 Suspicious noise appeared on the Gal (after that wild trip to France on those super smooth autoroutes...). Comes from the front of the engine (ie the cambelt end) and is a light, tinny, intermitent rattle, appears every few seconds for a few seconds. So, question is, any known failures with say - water pump, steering pump, a/c pump? Or, is it a cambelt related issue (belt was changed at 60k including tensioner, so that should be ok but you never know - now at 89k). Quote
Masked Marauder Posted June 13, 2005 Report Posted June 13, 2005 A fiver says it is the aux belt pully bearing. Quote
Guest greenfly Posted June 14, 2005 Report Posted June 14, 2005 I'll go poke that then - assume you mean the tensioner pulley? Quote
