Ivor Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 We are off to France this summer with our caravan. I got stick on beam benders when I had a MK1, but I'm not sticking them on my plastic MK2 headlamps. Does anyone know where I can get headlamp protectors from (MK2 Alhambra) so I can stick them onto these, or maybe they sell them with integral beambenders? Quote
AndyP Posted June 10, 2005 Report Posted June 10, 2005 I bought the plastic clip on headlamp protectors for my Sharan. Are the Alhambra headlamps the same shape? These come with pre-cut stickers for beam deflection. I bought them from the VW dealer when I bought the car. I think they cost about Quote
italiastar Posted June 10, 2005 Report Posted June 10, 2005 I've got a template from my dealer - apparently I think it might be in the TIS - Once I get my scanner working I'll post a copy. I bought the VW protectors from SEAT - oddly they didn't have any deflector stickers. Quote
Ivor Posted June 10, 2005 Author Report Posted June 10, 2005 Thanks for that, I'll ask the dealer then when I get back. It's going in for it's MOT on 2nd July. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted June 11, 2005 Report Posted June 11, 2005 From one Ivor to another - I used Halfords own-brand stick-on beam benders last autumn when we went to France. No problems, they come with a comprehensive instruction sheet telling you where to stick them, and they came off very easily without marking the plastic headlamp lenses. Quote
seatkid Posted June 11, 2005 Report Posted June 11, 2005 Don't the MkII lights have a lever at the back of them to switch between LHD/RHD? Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted June 11, 2005 Report Posted June 11, 2005 Don't the MkII lights have a lever at the back of them to switch between LHD/RHD? Only the Xenons, not the normal halogen lamps. Quote
