_dg Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 Is anyone using either a window mount, a tax disc, or internal window aerial for their mobile phone? If so which is the best performing and where is the best place to fit it? Does the front screen heater elements affect any front mounted aerial? Or is signal just as good without one? Cheers Quote
chromedome Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 I've got a Nokia car kit in my Galaxy and the aerial is fitted to the inside of the front windscreen on the passenger side. My son goes playing war games at a remote site and you can't get a signal on a hand held phone. Put the phone in the car and you get a signal. Never had any problems with interference etc and I've got a heated front screen. Quote
_dg Posted June 7, 2005 Author Report Posted June 7, 2005 Thanks. Is that aerial one of those that look like an upside down stretched ' T' Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 My mobile just slips into the cradle I fitted on the centre console, no external aerial. Works OK for me, heated front screen and all ....... Quote
soptom Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 Mine is a Nokia too and holds the tax disc, it gets better reception than handheld and no interference either. I'd always go for one of these in future. Quote
