Sorry my bad english, but....

 

Does anybody knows more about new Maps for VNR9000 ?

 

Navteq support told me, that there will be map update in 2Q 2005, but they can not give exact release date because of Ford.

 

Can anyone call to Ford UK and ask the situation ?

Here is an extract from Navteq's tidy little website

 

NAVTEQ digital map data offers accuracy, detail, reliability, and flexibility. Continuously updated to maintain its freshness and precision..

 

There seems to be some flamboyant use of the phrase Continuously updated

..particularly since the latest available issue of UK and Ireland maps for the VNR 9000 is version 2003. 2 years out of date already, but the good news is that it isn't entirely obsolete, and continues to be reasonably accurate for the most part.

 

As for an updated release.. Whenever... This year.. Next year..? depends upon how you interprete 'continuous update.' and Ford can be singularly unhelpful in matters of the afternmarket. Basically, all you can do is to do the same as I do... Bookmark Navteq ws and keep a 'continuous watch' on it.. and don't hold your breath while waiting..
